Positive Parenting in Sports by Former Major Leaguer Jack Perconte

Following is Jack’s article he writes for the Press Enterprise Blog in Southern California:
One of the top complaints that parents have with youth sports, and it may be number one, is that their child’s coach stinks. This complaint usually comes from parents who feel like the coach is treating their kid unfairly. Their concern is that the coach is inhibiting their kid’s future in the sport. Often, they feel like their child can be a star player but the coach is not playing them enough, or in the correct position on the field. Parents may have a legitimate gripe and it may come to the point where they have to approach the coach about these concerns. Read more at
